While profiling ISPN-14325 I found that the BytesObjectOutput.writeUTF method has a lot its stack frame not attributed to anything. Talking with Francesco Nigro he mentioned there should be a way to optimize this. This should be extremely helpful as this is used by our serialization for every message in Infinispan.
