forge git-plugin --ref doesn't work for branches

forge git-plugin git://github.com/forge/plugin-arquillian.git --ref alpha3 breaks if alpha3 is a branch, but does work when it's a tag. However forge is saying:

***INFO*** Switching to branch/tag [alpha]

It makes sense to install from a branch, so that should work.
