kafka-exporter pod restarting without any apparent reason

The exporter pod deployed by thee kafka-exporter deployment is getting restarted without any apparent reason. Container is exiting with exit code 137 (Error). We are using AMQ Streams 1.5.0 on OCP 3.11 deployed by strimzi.

The Container is exiting with exit code 137 (Error), but the resources are enough.
We did check the resource consumption ,however the usage is considerably lower than the limits that the pod has, also at the time of restart.
The only log I suspect is also the last log entry before pod restart is
time="2020-11-17T21:20:03Z" level=error msg="Cannot get describe groups: kafka: broker not connected" source="kafka_exporter.go:373"
