Spec.Components.Prometheus.Rules clarification

Do we have any idea how/when/why we need this option? Currently you can set these rules in the CR.

This option is passed to the syndesis-prometheus-agent-config config map as prometheus-config.yml

This option seems to be used only when using camel-k with syndesis

My question are:

• why do we have this option in the first place
• why isn't it part of the camel-k addon since it is used only with camel-k
