The method useOverridePropertiesWithPropertiesComponent() is called twice when running a unit-test with OSGI Blueprint XML.

A modified blueprint test (chapter9-blueprint-xml) from book Apache Camel in Action has been attached which demonstrates this behavior: BlueprintFirstTest.java (see attachment).
