The more concerning duplication is the one at the API level. We have 2 different definitions of the RuleUnit/RuleUnitInstance interfaces and this is clearly unacceptable and has to be solved before putting out a first stable version of Drools 8.

The other duplication is in the code generation part. This, in some situation, also causes the generation of more classes than required.
