Data that does not exist in the source database being written by Debezium

There is some nonsense data being written by the Debezium connector in the Kakfa topic. This data is not in the source database - Postgres.

e.g.:

{   id: "k2"   }

{   id: "tm"   } 

Is there a way to debug the debezium connector to ensure the problem is in the source database, debezium or kafka?
