Is there a license problem to bundle mysql driver in distribution?

I just find that the DebeziumServer and debezium-connector-mysql bundles the mysql jdbc driver (i.e. https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/mysql/mysql-connector-java) which is under GPLv2, and this is not compatible with Apache License 2.

Is it fine for a ASLv2 project to publish binary distribution and package distribution which includes the GPLv2 dependencies?
