Description
A check is currently done here https://github.com/debezium/debezium/blob/b36e8247a3d15a2f2c29be05a57f7391f5aada58/debezium-connector-mysql/src/main/java/io/debezium/connector/mysql/MySqlConnectorTask.java#L218 that prevents the NOBLOB format from being accepted. This format is often used when a large database includes large blob columns that get updated infrequently.
The alternative to Debezium we're investigating, Maxwell, does support NOBLOB format. Maxwell Daemon uses a fork of the same binlog client: https://github.com/zendesk/mysql-binlog-connector-java
