Additional logging for number and type of sql operations

In certain scenarios it might be useful to have the numbers of inserts, deletes or updates. This can be easily added into the existing logs. It would be also nice to get this as part of the metrics. In busy databases where usage patterns are unknown due to the software being aged this might be pretty useful to understand better usage patterns.
