Debezium provides great support for managing Kafka clusters that are useful in testing but also demos.

It would be great if that part of the project would be extracted in a separate GitHub project / jar so it can be reused in other projects like vertx-kafka-client and the vertx-examples.

That would allow also to target different Kafka client versions without needing Debezium itself to switch.
