- What do you need?
<!-- In your own words, what are you asking the Fedora Design team for help with? !-->
I'd like to suggest an idea for a type of paper swag - basically a printed sheet of paper that can then be folded into an interactive flip card. I can describe the basic concept and construction, but I need help with implementation.
- What do you need?
Ideally it would be a customizable template so that we can use the same concept with different inputs tailored for specific event, message.

- Construction

The source is a single square sheet of paper with a 4x4 grid on it.
1) We cut the middle four squares
2) we fold remaining squares onto the middle
3) we do one "inverse fold" (see video)
4) We get a flip card, with 4 different sides and each side is a combination of 4 different squares.

See also https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWCX46g2Dps for visual explanation.
Once we get the basic construction and map where each square goes in the end result, we can then create Fedora branded items, which are simply printed on paper before it was folded.
For example:
If we paint those final sides with four Fedora Foundations we get a card where you endlessly flip through the foundations.
If we paint one side with Fedora logo, one with a Heart symbol and one with Python logo, we then get our favorite Fedora Loves Python statement and we get a fourth side for adding some useful information, like QR-code, or links...
We can also create the infinite amount of such cards using badges...
We can also create cards with empty places, so that people can add their stickers to it...

- Problem Statement
I'd like to create some paper swag, which is easy to produce and easy to handle but not as boring as simple flyer.
I think that the "Endless card" concept can work as a good example.

- Deadline
<!-- When do you need this by? If this is for an event, please let us know the date of the event and any lead time you need to get materials produced. !-->
- Deadline
Ideally Flock 2024, but there is no strict deadline. I just like to have this as a swag option for future events.

- Who will benefit?
<!-- Will this address a need that only one user has, or will it benefit a lot of people? Which people? !-->
- Who will benefit?
Fedora Ambassadors and event organizers. And environment ![]()
The produced swag is just paper, so it is easy to produce on-site, it is also recyclable, simple and fun. You can also use it for virtual events by providing people with the downloadable option.

This is known classical folded card toy[1], so there is no real innovation behind it. But I haven't seen that much of paper craft used in IT setting, which is normally filled with plastic gadgets and stickers. So the innovative part is to bring the no-plastic, DIY-paper approach to swag which adds some interactivity to the lifeless paper materials.

There are more advanced versions:
Like this flexagon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgNXyIezwks
But I think we can start from a simple foldable square before we dive deeper into a 3d-origami.
