Feature Overview
At the completion of the work in https://issues.redhat.com/browse/ACM-6762 we now have the foundation to build more capabilities into Fleet view.
Goals
- Include Search bar entry point widget
- Include Saved Search widget
- Include Update Risk (from CCX API https://issues.redhat.com/browse/CCXDEV-11667)
- Include Hub Health (https://issues.redhat.com/browse/ACM-1246)

- As an ACM admin, I want to be able to use Search right away from the Fleet view and perform k8s resource Searches across my growing fleet
- As an ACM admin, I want to be able to pin a Saved Search so that I can always see it when I look at the Fleet view page
- As an ACM admin, I need more awareness of the Update risk across my fleet. I would like to see a dial to gauge my overall update readiness
Questions to answer
- Can we display metrics visuals by querying the in-cluster hub prometheus? this would be helpful especially in the areas of displaying hub health information
Out of Scope
- Alert management is not in play here, at least not yet. It might get solved via https://issues.redhat.com/browse/OBSDA-565
Background, and strategic fit
Assumptions
- Lets assume that the Fleet view will become the 'default' view in the next 1-2 releases. So with that in mind, what else would be missing from the original Overview that we might need to carry into the Fleet view? For example, the infrastructure provider icons - these look great for customer demos but chew up tons of console space.
Customer Considerations
- We need to get real customer feedback on the current Fleet view that was delivered in ACM 2.9.
Documentation Considerations
Questions to be addressed:
- What educational or reference material (docs) is required to support this
product feature? For users/admins? Other functions (security officers, etc)? - Does this feature have a doc impact?
- New Content, Updates to existing content, Release Note, or No Doc Impact
- If unsure and no Technical Writer is available, please contact Content
