We're somewhat urgently attempting to reduce the number of packages in all 188 images in the release payload. We've moved all of those images to be build atop a ubi-minimal base image, however we're currently reinstalling all of the packages that make up the difference between ubi-minimal and ubi in the openshift specific base layer in which we're all built from.

Those packages aren't necessary in most images and we'd like to remove them in this PR https://github.com/openshift/images/pull/221 which we intend to backport once we've been able to ensure that containers that actually do require these packages install them.

If you require these packages please ensure that they're installed in your container files. These packages WILL NOT be removed from RHCOS so if you're executing them in host mountpoints that's different. Also native dbus clients in Go and Rust do not require dbus binaries themselves, please check whatever library you're using and confirm if the packages are necessary.
