Here in the documentation, it is mentioned that

softwareRAIDVolumes: OpenShift Container Platform 4.14 does not support software RAID.

However, in customizing nodes documentation for configuring RAID-enabled data volume[2]

configuring RAID-enabled data volume:OpenShift Container Platform supports RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 4, RAID 5, RAID 6, and RAID 10 for data protection and fault tolerance.

These are two contradictory statements, 

The doc [1] needs an update or clarification in which cases it is not supported to  RAID configuration.
